VA-DC FLL Coach Chats - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Does the tournament registration process prompt the coach to make the payment, or do we need to remember to make the payment through a separate website?
I registered team in www.firstinspires.org do I have to register again in https://teammanager.va-dcfll.org/ Do I have to repeat the registration process in https://teammanager.va-dcfll.org/
Would EV3 robot work with the new software?
Completely concur that the age divisions are the way to go! Love our Div 1 Teams!!! They amaze me every year!
Does each team member need to have their zoom for the virtual judging, or can it be a team call with all the members and one video?
Is the State Tournament (Dec 4/5) at JMU?
For the virtual judging, will we be able to share google slides or PowerPoint? Or is it just a video zoom call with a tri board and talking?
We use EV3s and we use the "old" LabView software. We do not use the EV3 classroom "Scratch"
Are the Core Values challenge happening virtual? or in person?
sorry, I actually seem to be having mic issues
Last year we had to submit our project video a few days early. THe judges reviewed the video before the live judging.
If this season goes all virtual will the dates stay the same which would be assigned by Oct 15th?
How many judged parts will there be? Just Robot design and project?
When would the project submission be due?
With our all rookie team this year, scratch has been a big help as they are already used to it.
Fun question: What's your favorite mission on the table this year? :)
My kiddos can’t all be in the same location during judging, is that going to be ok?
the guided mission in the EV3 education app was actually from last year. will this be updated?
Any refund for teams that already paid that can't participate in November due to quarantine?
Having some luck with the sorting mission! That's a fun one.
Air drop mission is something that all my kids start trying to do... :)
our team LOVES the chicken!!!!
I can't wait for my kids to work on moving the windmill blade
Not a problem.
Is there any information on the guided mission on PC? It is still the Replay mission.
That is in Spike prime as well
Guded mission appears to be ok go here https://bit.ly/3Al8w2t
Where is the best place to ask questions about mission models misbehaving, as well as rules questions?

The FIRST Thinkscape materials are very good. Great slides for planning your team meetings.
What time will the juding sessions take place?
Is there a need for volunteers at the in-person events?
And each judging session will be 30 min for robot, project and core values? Thanks.
It's the best-kept secret (or maybe the worst-kept!) in FLL!
LOL, I have never been ready!!!
We are just starting this week, too.
Always crazy town here.
I started mid oct too. 🤪
We started last Sunday. We are a community based team.
How about the RCX with the infrared tower?
Spike prime is a nice little robot. We are trying it this year.
is their an age requirement for a judge volunteer? 18?
We are really enjoying the Spike Prime app - you can code in Blocks or Python
And for anyone feeling behind, we started this week too. Feeling a little overwhelmed but the students are so excited...it's contagious!
To be confusing, the new robot is also referred to as Lego Mindstorms by Lego.
The spike is small, fast, and easy for the kids to program so far.
Thank you for your time and putting this meeting together!
Thanks for everything! Your hard work does not go unnoticed! :)
